We’re proud to announce our first ever EP, The Spiritual Sessions is now available online to listen, stream and buy on all well known digital platforms! We’d love for you to listen
Back in February, we recorded five new a capella arrangements of spiritual songs and we released them a couple of weeks in to the official lockdown. The timing seemed right as we hope the songs will be musical and spiritual relief in these testing times we are currently in.

Track one, The Riverside, is our version of Down By The Riverside – I’m Gonna Lay Down My Burdens. It reminds us of Jesus’ promise when he said:
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Right now, so many of us need relief from our burdens; homeschooling, financial strain, redundancy and unemployment, grief and sickness. We pray that Jesus would bring you peace as you listen to this song. James Aaron is the lead vocalist.

Track two we named The Water, which you’ll know as Wade In The Water. If you’ve seen the film ‘Harriet’, you’ll know that Harriet Tubman wrote this song as a way to communicate with slaves trying to escape to freedom. Mariam is singing lead on this one. Check out her original stuff here.

Stranger is track three, otherwise known as Poor Wayfaring Stranger. You’ll have heard many artists cover this song. The writer has his or her eyes fixed on heaven, they know life here is short, but life there is eternal. Not only that, we will be reunited with our loved ones on the other side. We wanted to capture the raw emotion and confidence in the lyrics amongst the trials faced here on earth. Aleysha Eve is singing lead.

I’ll Be Free has James Junior on lead. Jesus said, ‘The truth will set you free.’ This song is about how a relationship with God will set you free on the inside, no matter your outside circumstances.

Overcome is the final song on the EP, our arrangement of civil rights rallying cry, We Will Overcome. We still need to sing this song in 2020, so we hope you sing it over yourself and our world. Lizzie Deane is the lead singer.

We’d love to hear what you think of our versions of these important songs, do let us know!
