Health and Safety Procedures for Covid 19

We all know that life has turned upside down in 2020 and getting back to some kind of normality will take time and effort from us in the music industry – we want you to feel safe when you book us for a wedding, party or corporate event. Here are some procedures we will work by to stay safe at your venue and with your guests!

1.) When you enquire or book with us, we will discuss with you any concerns you may have in regards to the event or if you have any specific requirements. We can call the venue itself to discuss protocol with them and how we can maximise health and safety if you or they require it.

2.) Each member of our team will take two NHS lateral flow tests in the week before your event. We will upload our results to the government website and are happy to upload them to any other trusted site that your venue, company or event planner you might use.

3.) If any of our team have positive results, they will be substituted for a different singer. If too many of our team are Covid-19 positive and we can’t find a substitute, we will contact you immediately to discuss steps forward – either performing with one less singer, finding you an alternative gospel choir, or refunding your entire deposit. If any of our team, or anyone in their household, experience any Covid-19 symptoms (high temperature, a new cough, loss of taste or smell) in the 2 weeks prior to the event and they are isolating, they will be substituted for a different singer. Current government guidance from July 19th 2021, states that a double vaccinated person does not have to isolate if they are a close contact of someone with Covid 19, and they have tested negative. If this does not sit well with you, please discuss with us when you book.

4.) You are welcome to ask us if we have been vaccinated and double vaccinated, and when we were vaccinated.

5.) Our team are fully aware of social distancing guidelines, which is currently keeping two metres apart where possible and not less than one metre. We have cordless microphones which enable us to stand separately. On the day of the event, we will regularly wash our hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser. We will bring our own hand sanitiser and tissues for personal use. We will need a spacious room to work in and be in when not performing, with windows for fresh air.

5.) Wherever possible, team members will use their own transport to travel to the event. When we share cars, we will keep good airflow in the car or wear masks. If public transport is used, we commit to wearing a mask throughout the journey and using hand sanitiser regularly on the journey.

6.) All equipment will be cleaned between each event, and, if needed, at the event itself. Our equipment is solely used by Get Gospel and no other bands.

7.) Unfortunately, we cannot shake hands with any guests and we will avoid any close interaction with guests too.

8.) Read point 14 on our FAQs for more info on cancellations and postponements.

Do you have any questions for us? Is there anything you think we have missed? We would be grateful to hear your thoughts!

Take care, stay safe and let’s get life rolling again!
